Welcome you to my GiggleBubblesBlog! After many timid thoughts and the overpowering desire to do the opposite, I would like to introduce myself and concept to the GiggleBubbleBlogging (gaggle, group, buttheads, community, supporters, invaders, comedians, insomniacs, pirates, jokeaholics, boredom bloggers, understanders, disbelievers, creators, laughers, midnight snackers....) friends and readers!
I think what is important and worth noting here, is that first and foremost, the word "giggle" is not, and should not be a term used in strictly a female manor. I have seen, first hand, on many occasions, all over the world, a solid, or stand up, or charming, or macho, or masculine, or slow, or clueless, or mistaken, or brilliant, or just absolutely not, guy giggle...and its great!
I believe in the power of laughter. I believe we all need it as much as humanly possible, even if you are holding it in or talking about it after the explosion because it is so utterly hilarious. I think laughing hard could sometimes be considered an amazing exercise (and if anyone could tell me how it could be measured I would be willing to take a reader). It brings people together, its refreshing, its natural and its one of the best individual thing people take for granted about themselves. Okay, so not EVERYONE has a good laugh, but I would hope their Mom loves it anyway, even if their friend's dont.
I think laughter is one of the most innocent and warming gifts you could give a perfect stranger or a best friend.
So this is how it starts. I recently helped someone out in my building. Do a good deed, be a good neighbor, have a chat. He invited me in for a coffee and was kind of, well, disscheveled (Is that a word? Is it spelled correctly?! Does it translate into German? ) and curiously interesting as it turns out. I thought the invitation was great because he has been smoking IN his apartment which as it turns out is a really an uncool problem for us...especially now that I have addressed it, but okay, I thought I would present my case and that would be that, cheers, thanks. To be continued......
Anyway, there was big crazy art on all of the walls, Etta James, Carlos Santana and some Cuban Bongo music poppin in chillin in the back. This is too much! There are too many things to try to assemble in this puzzle of whatever is going on. So I asked him for a pencil and piece of computer paper as I could only attempt in some way to record what was being discussed or witnessed over this coffee. So I sketched. I probably did 20 in a minute. Crazy.
So then I realized, you know, this is it, its time. Im blogging. There is too much comedy and random acts of ridiculousness that occur WAY TOO often that it really ought to be shared. I love to laugh and think it should be shared, so this is what GiggleBubbleBlog is all about. Its about finding a soft spot in your day, reading something humorous besides how hilariously sad it is a lot of the world is bumming out, then getting on with it. And for me, its a great way to be on this computer and let humor and embarassment and discomfort and innocence go viral and hopefully spark a laugh.
When it comes to whats funny, I want to see the videos, the music, hear the stories and see the pictures of what makes you giggle or laugh, so if you follow along and like what you read, please subscribe to my blog. I will be posting as often as I can about some of the things I experience, witness, oversee, hear, view learn or feel the absolute necessity to share if I think it would be fun or enjoyable to someone, somewhere on this playful planet because it made me light up too!
I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading!
Enjoy!
