Damn Corn!

I don't know what my obsession is, but clearly I have an issue that I think I need to work out...because I can't just keep buying corn!
I am realizing today that I may or may not have a new undiagnosed disease called Corn Kernel Hoarding, or C.K.H. for short. And it may be a problem.
It all started last fall when the last of he summer cobs were selling out and I didn't feel I had finished my fix. It was also around the same time that I realized how much I love baby corn in wok and Thai food and slowly started to buy one jar, which soon was no longer enough that I needed to have a back up, okay two back ups!
Well today, I hit a new count "for back ups" and truth be told, it's canned or jared or in some other form and I am slightly ashamed of myself.
Not that I'm trying to be hard on myself for loving a natural golden gem of versatile goodness, but Erin, this is too much!!! I mean who needs 6 small cans, three larger cans (two not in photo), one jar of baby corn (with another full one in the fridge), polenta, just in case Mexico invades Switzerland and one bottom feeder that was left behind and stacked up on. Get a grip!
But let's be real. Do i like corn? Yes. Do I love it? Maybe. Do I eat it two or three times a week in my lunch salad? Undeniable. Is it included in the salad buffet at work? Thank god! Is it great warm or cold, marinated, mixed or plain? Of course. Is it one of the most diverse gifts given to culinary lovers and livestock alike? In most cultures, yes. So then why, am I questioning the following purchases today???
Maybe because for some unbeknownst hoarding reason, I felt that it was necessary to prepare for shortages or or that corn was a great way to fill shelf space or that the option of small cans vs larger cans was appealing and I ought to have both. Anyway.
Corn.
